History

The Eastern vegetables were introduced to the Dominican Republic in 1978 by the Japanese Exporting Company that exported them towards the markets of the United States and Canada until 1990. These vegetables were constituted by the following species: bitter Melon, eggplants, long bean, bangañas, musues, red peppers and tindora, among others.

Its increase accelerated in areas of sowing and production as of 1980 was stimulated, mainly by the high external demand (mainly to the United States), getting to exist around 30 companies. This was translated in considerable increases of currencies for the country and agriculture represented then one of the best alternatives to surpass the subdevelopment.

In 1985 Mr. Miguel Villar Angel, begins in the sector like producer and Eastern distributor of fruits and vegetables at national level, replacing to companies that already were working like exporter.

This with a view to develope  a business that would be a familiar patrimony. Of this form besides to provide a substantial economic standard to his family it contributed with the economic development of the people of his community, thus helping other producers of less possibility to obtain the sustenance of his homes.

In its beginnings Villar’s Enterprises S.A. it was located in small kiosco in where they used to received,  packed  and they distributed harvested and gathered together products, at local level and had  3 fixed employees and two producers.

It is in the 2003 when Mr. Villar next to their son Ing. Miguel Villar decides to expand their businesses of considerable way. Initiating of this form the distribution at international level being inserted in the business of the exportations. Having like enterprise philosophy, the quality in its products and services. Initiating the workings with 6 fixed employees and in an infrastructure outside the present facilities.

With the objective to satisfy  their clients and consumers, the quality standards of and production took pains in the strict fulfillment of, working with the enterprise mystic, to persecute the maintained growth and the continuous search of the  efficiency in each one of the processes and services, being worked to get to be one of the most  important exportation company in the  sector.

For 2004 Villar’s  Enterprises S.A. it already fulfilled its first service year, thus, obtaining to position itself in its first decess of the market and presenting its existence. Having in consideration the exigencies of the market,  Villar’s  Enterprises S.A. it fixes its efforts to a sharp program of investments for the extension and improvement of the industrial infrastructure and the constant capacitation of its skilled labor in good agricultural´s practice and good  practice of Industrial Manufacture.

It was in the 2005 when Villar’s Enterprises S.A. managed to position itself like one of the companies of greater importance in the industry of the Eastern Vegetable Exports being considered by the international clients like one of the exporters who have products with better quality and one  that offers greater satisfaction and better service to their clients, thanks to its installed capacity, diversity of services, stops volumes of production and efficiency.

Nowadays Villar’s  Enterprises S.A. is composed of a department of Human Resources integrated by around 136 associate and of 50 producers  at national level, contributing this way to a considerable currency movement in the community and the country, forming part of the alternatives of empleomanía to help  lower the unemployment rate that faces our society.

This, and the effort of a constant work,  has turned  Villar’s  Enterprises S.A.  to an strategic partner of important companies of Eastern vegetables Purchases and Fruits: Europe, Canada, the United States, among others, which is reason for inspiration to continue working with but desires, counting the support of our collaborators.

We will continue doing our best to maintain our commitments with the sector, to be example of inspiration for others, and not to defraud to which they have given its vote of confidence to our company. Mainly our clients.
